Mrs. Arcuri handed out the Practice Final Exam, click here, which students should try doing. Treat it like a final exam: have your formula sheet, multiplication chart, and a glass of water/snack and write it in a quiet place. The Practice Final Exam sheet is due Thursday. Mrs. Arcuri will make an answer key so that you can check to see how you are doing and what you still need to study/get help on before the actual final exam on June 2nd and 3rd.
The second half of the class we discussed 3-D shapes (prisms and pyramids) and why manufacturers use different shaped packages. For example, we discussed why golf balls are sold in rectangular prisms (box) and tennis balls are sold in cylinders. Students started making net diagrams for a cube and folded them to make a three dimensional rectangular prism (cube). We will finish this on Wednesday.
