Students were introduced to input (x) and output (y) table of values, see video below. We looked at input and output pair of numbers (table of values) and determine the relationship between each pair. We used a the robot as the equation and discussed how the robot transformed the input value to get out the output value. Students practiced creating their own "robot rule" or equation and listing the input (x) and output (y) values. After students created their equation they shared their table of values and had a partner come up with the equation that matched the values.

Students wrote their Light and Eye test during this block for Science.
Students were given back Day 1 of the Final Exam and we discussed the answers. Please have your parent sign your Day 1 Final Exam after discussing your strengths and weaknesses.
Students created their resume for their Grade 8 Portfolio Presentation coming up June 16th.
Wow, can you believe it is June already? We are almost at the end so just hang in there for a few more weeks.
Are you ready for day 1 of your final exam tomorrow? Today we discussed what to bring to the exam (multiplication chart, pink formula sheet, water, pencil, and eraser). We also discussed how to tackle and examples of word problem type questions, which will be day 2 of the exam on Wednesday. Final Exam Day 1 is tomorrow!
